Haiti has held a special place in our hearts for over 20 years. Before Rick became a Free Methodist pastor, we both began the process to go to Haiti as missionaries. Family needs interrupted the process, but we never lost our interest in this amazing country. Prompted by the desperate needs in Haiti following the hurricane season of 2008, we made a trip to Haiti in March of 2009. As we boarded the plane to return to the US, we knew God and Haiti were not finished with us yet.
We little suspected how soon we would be back. Shortly after the earthquake, Rick was asked to go to Haiti and work with the Haitian Free Methodist Church in the relief and recovery effort. Cookie followed a few months later. Please keep us in prayer as we face the daunting challenge that is post-earthquake Haiti.
