Haiti has held a special place in our hearts for over 20 years. Before Rick became a Free Methodist pastor, we both began the process to go to Haiti as missionaries. Family needs interrupted the process, but we never lost our interest in this amazing country. Prompted by the desperate needs in Haiti following the hurricane season of 2008, we made a trip to Haiti in March of 2009. As we boarded the plane to return to the US, we knew God and Haiti were not finished with us yet. The recent earthquake has only strengthened our resolve. The recovery effort in Haiti will take years. We want to be a part of Haiti’s future. With God’s help, and perhaps with yours, we hope to go back as career missionaries with the Free Methodist Church.
